I’m so proud of you for making the decision to prioritize your health and well-being. The benefits of therapy can have a life-long impact on your mind, body and relationships. With increased self-awareness you can choose your emotional and cognitive response in any situation. In therapy you will have the opportunity to challenge self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. Through challenging old belief systems, you will identify what feels right for you and be better equipped to achieve what you want. Mental health is just as important as physical health. By scheduling your first appointment, you make both a priority.
Here you’ll find all information needed for our first session.
Cope Better is located at 2047 Locust Street, 4th floor, in a sunny brick stone walk-up less than two blocks from Rittenhouse Park. Below is a map. Outside of the building, a buzzer is located to the right of the main door. If I am not there to greet you at the door, ring the buzzer and have a seat in the reception area to the right of the entrance once let into the building.
If you are running late or have a conflict, please call to notify me at 215-995-3156.
Sessions are scheduled for one hour and typically run 45-50 minutes of talk-time.
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, there is a missed appointment fee of $100 per missed appointment. If you need to reschedule, just let me know so that other clients can fill in your time slot. You can notify me at 215-995-3156 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
New Client Forms
Please bring completed copies of the new client forms included in your welcome e-mail. These forms discuss the limits of confidentiality, your rights as a client and my responsibility as a therapist. I welcome you to ask any questions of the paperwork.
My rate is $110 per session. I do offer sliding scale rates based on individual financial need. I am willing to work with you regarding cost per session. Please feel comfortable to have a conversation with me regarding rates and together we can find a comfortable fee that works for both of us.
If you need incentivized to attend therapy (beyond feeling better and gaining insight), I suggest reviewing the therapy packages I currently offer. The bundle packages are paid upfront and valid for either three or four months from the date of our first session. The bundle packages reduce the total cost of therapy and are a good option for clients who anticipate attending more than 5 sessions.
Payment is required at the end of our session. You may pay by cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express).
I currently do not accept insurance. All counseling services are out-of-pocket costs.
